This Avocado Dip is an easy recipe that comes together in only 5 minutes in a food processor or blender. Perfect served with chips, veggies or crackers. A healthy delicious snack or a great last minute appetizer for entertaining. Low Carb, Keto, Gluten Free.
Alrighty friends..... let me just say " that this dip recipe could easily become one of your favorite ways to use up those perfectly ripe avocados".
It's definitely one of mine.
Especially since we know that avocados have such a short window of time at their perfect peak ripeness.
And if you buy them on a regular basis then ya kinda know you got use them when they're READY. 😏
Whether you're making guacamole or this dip the key is having the perfectly ripe one.
Plus this is so simple, quick to prepare and tastes wonderful on sooo many things...
So no reason to lose yet another avocado.
Serve it with tortilla chips, veggies or even on top of sandwiches and burgers.
What you need for this Avocado dip recipe:
- Ripe Avocados
- Full Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
- Lime Juice
- Cilantro
- Fresh Garlic
- Seasonings
And just put it all in the food processor or blender and you'll have a ultra creamy delicious dip in a matter of minutes.
Tools used to make this Avocado dip:
This is the food processor used and it's definitely my go to kitchen appliance. It's perfect for making quick easy dips and so much more.
Avocado Dip Vs. Guacamole:
I truly love both but the dip is creamier than guacamole and seems to store a bit longer before turning brown.
And guacamole tends to be a little chunkier and you get more of the rich flavors of the avocado.
Ya know that buttery creamy taste when you've scored a really good one. YUM.
I could easily just eat it plain sprinkled with a little salt.
Tip for storing this dip recipe:
Smooth out the top of the dip and pour just enough filtered water over it to cover. Then seal in airtight container.
Pour water off prior to serving again.

Avocados are indeed such an healthy fruit and I am so happy that everyone in my house likes it. I usually use the ripe avocados in making flatbread but this is a great recipe to make when I have a couple of ripe ones. I love the yogurt in the dip.

Haha! I totally got what you meant the second I read this title - we always have that one avocado that somehow winds up juuuust a little too ripe to actually want to eat, but we don't have enough to make guacamole. Brilliant use!

I love guacamole...so this is a winner dip for sure. Perfect way to use up those avocados. As for the grocery store...the avocados are always hard as a rock, or mushy. The perfect avocado is always a few days after you buy them!!

Thanks Gloria and I agree you can never find the perfect one at the grocery store.
