music and exciting children’s programs withNorth Hampton’s 2006 Summer Concert Series,held each week at the town bandstand, locatedon Atlantic Avenue (Route 111) in North Hamp-ton. All concerts will are held on Wednesdaysfrom 6-8 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
In the event of rain, concerts will be held atthe North Hampton School on Atlantic Avenue(east of Route 1); the children’s programs will beheld at the church across from the bandstand.Concert-goers may bring a picnic, or they maypurchase barbecue items from American LegionPost #35 or hot dogs, beans, chips, and bever-ages from the Masonic Lodge. the Seacoast Science Center begins its annualMusic-by-the-Sea Concert Series, held onThursday evenings on the lawn of the Sea-coast Science Center (SSC), located at OdiornePoint State Park on Route 1A in Rye. Gatesopen at 5 p.m., with the concerts beginning at6 p.m.

In the past, Padukone,has offered her merchandiseat the annual Seafood Festi-val as well as various storeson Hampton Beach and hada good response. ButPadukone says she is excitedabout the prospect of manag-ing her own store and iseager to share her love ofIndian folk art with Seacoastresidents.
“I love folk art,” she says.“I want to bring art fromevery part of India. Everyregion has different art. Idon’t have all art from everyregion yet, but I want tobring it, slowly, slowly.”

CARB UP AT SPAGHETTI SUPPERGREENLAND | The 16th annual Jason Hussey Road Race
will take place on Saturday, July 15 at Greenland town com-mon. To help runners prepare for the race, Boy Scout Troop158 of Portsmouth and Greenland will serve a “Carb-UpSpaghetti Dinner” on Friday, July 14 beginning at 5 p.m. Theprice is $5 per person and $20 per family for a complete mealand beverage. LIBRARY OFFERS AARP DRIVER SAFETY PROGRAMNORTH HAMPTON | AARP’s two-day Driver Safety Pro-
gram course will be offered at the North Hampton PublicLibrary on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 25-26 from 1-5 p.m.each day. This program, taught by certified instructors, offersparticipants the chance to refresh their knowledge of safe dri-ving practices and the rules of the road. The program is opento all, although it is designed especially for drivers over theage of 50.
