We’ve launched an FX affiliate referral programme with over 60 local banks across Japan. 🎊 With many local Japanese banks reducing or withdrawing their in-house retail FX services, the referral partnership programme sees these banks refer those customers who require travel money directly to Travelex. These referred customers are then able to receive a discount on their travel money purchases simply by showing their bankcard.The model has served to benefit the banks, their customers and Travelex: for the banks, the partnership means they are still able to assist their customers with travel money needs, even when not providing FX services directly; for customers, they are now able to access discounted travel money services nationwide; and for Travelex, the partnerships have helped further expand our distribution network and customer base, and enabled us to help customers who would have otherwise struggled to access retail FX services.Read more about the partnership here: https://lnkd.in/e-iUiHjQ#WeAreTravelex #Japan #Partnerships

Yet more signs that international travel is strongly rebounding: Heathrow Airport has reported its busiest Q1 ever. 18.5 million passengers travelled through the airport during Q1, more than ever before. The UK’s biggest airport is expecting its busiest ever summer holiday season, with total passengers this year expected to surpass 82.4 million, above pre-Covid highs of 80.9 million. Travelex has bureaux across Heathrow Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. The global travel cash market is expected to grow at an average of 14% each year from 2022-2028 – Heathrow’s results provide further evidence that Travelex is in a great position to meet customers’ travel money needs internationally with convenience and flexibility.#WeAreTravelex #InternationalTravel #TravelTrends

The Khmer Riel (KHR) is now available at Japan’s Tokyo Haneda Airport! ✈ This means the currency is now available to Japanese tourists visiting Cambodia, further facilitating more tourism flow into the country.Together with the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC)’s Director General of Central Banking Operation Kimty Kormoly, our Global Wholesale Director, Cameron Hume (何穆凯), Trading Director – Japan, Jun Otani and Country Manager, Singapore, Kelvin Chua, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion.This is the second country we have listed KHR for trading – our first being Singapore Changi Airport’s terminals two and three – and more to come!#WeAreTravelex #KhmerRiel #Japan

We’ve launched our online click-and-collect service in Hong Kong, enabling customers to purchase their travel cash in advance online, at Travelex’s best exchange rate.The service means customers can now reserve over 30 different currencies via the Travelex Hong Kong website.
